My weekend

This past weekend I had a lot happening for both my jobs. I covered the Wassaic Project Summer Benefit for the newspaper and got to DJ at he Lantern Inn on Saturday night. With Fathers Day on top of that I was exhausted by Sunday. But I took lots of photos with my iphone and canon rebel that I wanted to share. Some snaps of where I have been and new people I have encountered during my weekend adventures.

I am crazy for artist Ghost of a Dream's work. I first saw his instillation at the 2011 Wassaic Project Summer Festival with Remember When Tomorrow, which you can see how much I adored it in this photo. But Ghost of a Dream pieces were shown at the benefit as a preview to the Summer Festival which I cannot wait for in August!

I took this photo for the paper and really liked the way the lighting came out.

I had the pleasure of meeting legendary artist Ultra Violet at the Benefit as well. I am embarrassed to say I didn't know thats who she was when I met her! But she was quick to let me know and I soon found out she was one of Andy Warhol's muses and worked for Salvador Deli, oh my! She was quite fabulous and I may have redeemed myself when she said she liked my sandalls!

I also met her friend designer Gemma Kahng!

My friend Stephanie snapped this photo of me DJing Saturday night with Dustin. First time I had a set with another DJ, it was so much fun! Also peep the vintage lime green corset I got at Pumpkin House in Millbrook, NY.

As all Father's days should go and basically every day my family BBQ at Macedonia State Park. Yum!

My brother came home for fathers day as well which was fun but I had even more fun with the friends he brought along. We look like we are blooming out the tree.

Kent Falls is the place to be during this time of year.

Her name is Mookie. That is all.

Happy Fathers Day, Dad!

hula hooping all the time

This past weekend was very fun my partner in crime Nedjra came to visit. She convinced me to have more photos of my daily hula hooping. I like these photos because I look kinda silly with my bright orange socks. I also have below my first ever video of me hula hooping on my blog. OMG! Sorry I take so long to pick a song in the beginning :)  I need to do a progressional video to show my improvement since last summer. I am excited for spring I am going to start my hula hooping classes up again in Kent. I am just waiting for the weather to get a little warmer!

today today today

I got a new bikini for summer today at H&M its pretty cute, its leopard print. I think I am done shopping for a while. At least until my summer job starts. I am saving my money so I can FINALLY get my license. I have been relying on my friends and parents to get me around for way to long. Other than that I watched my favorite movie Amelie for the 10,000th time. Its a classic, if you haven't seen it. I love Audrey Tautou. Also see her movie Hor De Prix its hilarious! She plays a gold digger. Here is some photos of me in my new leggings, enjoy!

Back in the cut

So I am finally home from California. A really great trip, I miss my family and the bay too much already. CT is looking good, its finally getting warmer here. I took these photos above in my house today. Sad news a teens in the local school where swimming in the Housatonic river, and one kid is now missing from trying to save his friend who was struggling in the water. Really scary since I know these kids, and the town is so small any tragedy is a big deal. I hope they find Kaelon.

San Fran

So San Francisco is absolutely beautiful right now. Yesterday I went to the Union square street fair with my family and film camera. I took a bunch of photos and will post them soon. But for the time being I have some from my digital camera. I really love it here I don't even feel like I am in the states. Also the boys are pretty fly here.Speaking of boys I FINALLY saw Twilight. Late I know. It was kinda wack but I still got into it. I think because of Taylor Lautner. He is a shawty! Pattinson is ok too but I am not to into pale boys. So I will def be seeing New moon for the sole reason that Taylor is getting more screen time.
